Sequoia Ecological Consulting, Inc. is a San Francisco Bay Area-based, woman-owned, small business that provides biological consulting and storm water services to utilities, infrastructure developers, construction companies, private landowners, and environmental and engineering firms. Sequoia biologists are strategically located throughout the state to reduce costs and response time for our clients.
The Sequoia team and our associates have over 100 years of collective experience in environmental regulation and compliance, and include a diverse group of ecological professionals - wildlife biologists, botanists, construction monitors, herpetologists, restoration specialists, and aquatic biologists - all of whom are known for technical excellence. Our team specializes in projects involving new utility construction; hydroelectric licensing and relicensing; large solar developments; electrical reconductoring; gas transmission and distribution installations and upgrades; gas line testing, repair, and replacement; and utility relocations. We also provide QSP/QSD oversight and conduct routine storm water inspections to support SWPPP compliance.
We provide integrated biological, permitting, and project management assistance, effectively supporting projects from the planning phase through the mitigation monitoring phase. We also serve to simplify the environmental permit application and preparation process. Typical permitting entities include the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Regional Water Quality Control Board, and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Our team members are adept at negotiating with these and other lead regulatory agencies.
