The Department of Parks and Recreation’s (DPR) Accessibilities Construction Unit (ACU) is upgrading existing facilities within the Rock City Day Use Area of Mt. Diablo State Park to meet requirements in the California State Parks Accessibilities Guidelines. The construction work for this project included significant ground disturbance in habitat where Alameda striped racer are known to occur. Sequoia provided project management support and environmental training to the crews, as well as biological monitoring to ensure protection of Alameda striped racer. Through our diligence, highly qualified staff and project management this project finished on-time, on-budget and with no environmental compliance issues.
