What's Happening at Sequoia?

This month, we're honoring Project Biologist Julie Woodruff. Her endless ecological knowledge and owl whispering skills make her irreplaceable, and her life outside of Sequoia inspires us.

Julie is dedicated to sharing her expertise - she happily spends time teaching others and sharing her love of science.

In March, we challenged our staff to a chili cookoff.

At Sequoia, we value every opportunity to commune together and
celebrate the accomplishments of our talented family of staff.

Julie is always surprising us with her talents. This year, Julie completed the Boston Marathon and made it look easy!

2019 chili champion Alex Hirth warmed our bellies with a kick of chili pepper procured during his travels in Mexico.

Biologists Alex Hirth and Jackson Valler earned their FAA drone pilot licenses.

Our staff love learning from Julie. She's a wonderful mentor with a patient and calm teaching style.

When rainy weather had our staff office-bound this winter, Sequoians improvised with employees sharing educational presentations on various relevant topics ranging from salt marsh habitats to owls.
