Storm Water Services
Sequoia is committed to providing high quality, cost-effective storm water compliance solutions. Our staff of experienced Qualified SWPPP Developers-Practitioners (QSDs-QSPs) supports clients in complying with Clean Water Act (CWA), National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES), and State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) rules and regulations, while keeping projects on time and within budget.
As a San Francisco Bay Area-based company, Sequoia is highly experienced with regional projects as well as the various agency permits governing work within the area. We also serve clients in many other parts of California, and can provide local inspection staff who can be onsite on very short notice for storm events, agency meetings, and other time-sensitive storm water needs.
Our services include:
Site Inspections and Monitoring
Sequoia knows the importance of a well-designed and implemented storm water program. We reduce compliance issues for Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs) by providing daily inspections, storm event visual and physical sampling, annual report supplementation, and notice of termination assistance.
SWPPP Training Program Design and On-site Crew Training
Our SWPPP trainings effectively communicate the parameters and compliance requirements of the program to all levels of crew and management personnel.
On-site Storm Water Collection and Analysis
Our highly-trained staff collects grab samples (for laboratory analysis) or can test water onsite for multiple constituents, including pH and turbididty.
Offsite Laboratory Analysis
Sequoia works with EPL-certified labs throughout the state to maintain consistently reliable sampling data and rapid sample analysis.
Most notices of violation come from incomplete record keeping and reporting to the Storm Water Multiple Application and Report Tracking System (SMARTS). We support documentation and compliance through a dual field and office support structure. Our highly competent field team is complemented by our office staff who complete annual reporting, notices of termination, and rain event sample reporting through SMARTS.
