To ensure compliance with the US Fish and Wildlife Service Biological Opinion, Sequoia provided biological compliance support for the Lake Herman Quarry Expansion project, in habitat occupied by callippe silverspot butterfly and California red-legged frog.
We provided long-term management plan species and habitat monitoring that mitigates for unavoidable impacts to these species; conducted monitoring surveys for California red-legged frog, floristic monitoring surveys for callippe silverspot butterfly, and residual dry matter monitoring; and prepared annual monitoring reports.
Sequoia is working with the client on an on-call basis to update biological, wetlands, and hydrological technical reports for a pit reclamation, which will ultimately provide off-channel habitat for juvenile salmonids.
